3. ‘... And the dawns here are quiet’

Film directed by Stanislav Rostotsky is one of the main films about the war against the Nazis. The film tells about the tragic loss of the hopes and dreams of young girls who went to the front. The main characters, like millions of other Russian people, dreamed of love, family, friends and a peaceful sky overhead. But the war entered their lives and changed their plans, themselves and the whole world around.


4 . ‘The Diamond Arm’

The Diamond Arm is a comedy by Leonid Gaidai. The film tells about the adventure of Semyon Semenovich Gorbunkov, who, by pure chance, became an accomplice in a major crime. Russians are very fond of quoting the children of the characters of this film because of their comicality.


5. ‘Brother’

The film shows Russia in the late 90s and early 00s. Dark colors, Russian rock, a criminal plot - this is how you can briefly describe the film ‘Brother’. However, oddly enough, thanks to these characteristics, he is one of the favorite films in Russia.
